『Really good』
First, if this work is based off of a novel, I haven't read the novel. The book has two credits, one to the story and one to the art. First, the art. Excellent. It may be because the artist had a lot of time, or because this series will probably be short, but every page is lavish, both in perspective and in content. There are backgrounds. There are many characters. There is interesting design. I can't find fault anywhere. As for the story, it is as packed in as it can be and still be a comic book. If anything, it looks like there's enough here to stretch into several comics, but, again, it looks like this story will only get a short treatment. All in all, I found this really good, and a welcome departure from some of the current comics out there. It's probably due to the influence of the novel. That being the case, I look forward to more manga being produced from novel. Excellent.
